About us

The Sewing Company was born in 2007 when we set up our original team of three industrial sewing machinists. In this day and age finding qualified machinists with any kind of industrial sewing expertise is very difficult, so we struck gold when Janette joined our company.

Since then we have worked on a variety of projects with our sister company, a niche low volume, high quality e-commerce retailer, and we have made huge leaps and bounds in terms of our expertise and the quality of product we can manufacture.

Although we specialise in lower volume, high quality "Premium" pieces, no project is too big or too small for us to look at for you. As a word of warning, please do not expect our prices to compete with the China or Eastern Europe. We are based in the UK so our charges are higher, but we have no specified minimums and our quality is high, and we are totally dedicated to giving you what you are looking for. Our main area of expertise is swimwear, but have also made bras, nightwear, sports wear, briefs and thongs, and we are starting to look at more structured pieces.
